Common Accessibility Quick Tips
How to magnify the screen: To see more clearly, this feature allows users to magnify the screen. Here are some setup tips:
On Windows, press the Windows key and the plus sign (+) at the same time to zoom in. You can also use the Magnifier app under Accessories.
On a Mac, go to System Preferences, open Universal Access, and select the View tab. Check the button under Zoom to On.
On an Apple device, click Settings, General, and Accessibility. Click the Zoom button to switch it to On. Alternatively, on Apple, you can use the "Ctrl" ("Cmd" on Mac) and the Plus (+) or Minus (-) keys in your web browser.
How to Change Many Colors and Fonts: Changing the color or font (or a mix) can help users see text more clearly:
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, then Internet Options, then General. From here, select Colors, Fonts, or Accessibility.
In Mozilla Firefox, select Options, then Content, and finally Fonts and Colors.
In Safari, select Preferences, the Appearance tab, and click the "Select..." button next to the font field.
In Chrome, go to Advanced Preferences, activate the Display Settings link, go to the Web Content heading and change the Font Size, Customize Fonts, or set a default Page Zoom among other things.
How to Find Screen Readers:
A screen reader is text-to-speech software that helps blind or low-vision people access information on a computer or mobile device. The technology reads the contents of the screen aloud. There are free screen readers such as NVDA for Windows and VoiceOver for Mac. Jaws for Windows is also widely used.
